Detailed Description

The Venexus Search module provides a search form and results, and has the following capabilities:

UPDATE: You can now moderate all items aggregated using the moderation setting in Seamus and the new Moderation module. Also included is a category module for managing categories for RSS feeds and individual aggregated items. All items that are indexed and have been assigned a category can be made visible in the Directory module. Also, we have now included a TagCloud module.

Administrators can choose a global search option, or a portal-specific search.

Administrators can also allow the user to choose between "Web" or "Site" search.

Employs Microsoft Full-Text Indexing queries to generate fast and accurate results

Option to not use Full-Text Indexing if not enabled on the SQL Server.

Option to use text or image for the search button

Auto suggest keywords when typing a query

Removes any noise words before processing query

Supports " " operator to add additional results

Supports "-" operator to filter out unwanted results

Supports double quoted searches for refined results (e.g., "North Carolina" instead of North OR Carolina)

Facilitates highlighting of keywords

Utilizes DotNetNuke Security for all Portals, Tabs, Modules, Folders, and Files

Ability to delete search results

Cached version of files

User can save searches

Provides a RSS feed for the search rquery esults so the user can be updated when new information has been found indexed.

Third Parties:

may incorporate itself, software and other technology owned and controlled by third
parties. Any such third party software or technology that is incorporated in the Venexus
Software falls under the scope of this Agreement. Any and all other third party software
or technology that may be distributed together with the Venexus Software will be subject
to you explicitly accepting a license agreement with that third party. You acknowledge
and agree that you will not enter into a contractual relationship with Venexus or its
Affiliates regarding such third party software or technology and you will look solely to
the applicable third party and not to Venexus or its Affiliates to enforce any of your
rights.
New Versions of the Venexus Software:
Venexus, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to add additional features or functions,
or to provide programming fixes, updates and upgrades, to the Venexus Software. You
acknowledge and agree that Venexus has no obligation to make available to You any
subsequent versions of the Venexus Software. You also agree that you may have to enter
into a renewed version of this Agreement, in the event you want to download, install or
use a new version of the Venexus Software. Furthermore, You acknowledge and agree
that Venexus, in its sole discretion, may modify or discontinue or suspend Your ability to
use any version of the Venexus Software, and/or disable any Venexus Software You may
already have accessed or installed without any notice to You, for the repair,
improvement, and/or upgrade of the underlying technology or for any other justifiable
reason, including but not limited to, circumstances where You, at Venexus’ discretion,
are in breach of this Agreement, creating problems, possible legal liabilities, acting
inconsistently with the letter or spirit of our policies, or engaging in fraudulent, immoral
or illegal activities, or for other similar reasons. Venexus will not accept any liability in
relation to the direct or indirect damages caused by (1) the release and/or the absence of
release of new versions of the Venexus Software and (2) by the suspension or termination
of the license or this Agreement by Venexus and/or by You.
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND,
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES
OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND
NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT
HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY,
WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING
FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR
OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.
