Hi, I am back again....(sorry)
I might be going crazy, but it seems that I can't add more than 1 item to the FileSystems anymore.
I think i could once add more then 1 item.
But perhaps something has changed.
It's in 4.0.2 |

| Sounds like some sort of caching issue. What level of caching do you have enabled in host settings? |

Right now, seamus indexes 3 items each time the module gets loaded. Perhaps it is a good idea to add this option to the control panel, or the settings so you can adjust this value |

| and perhaps you can make a skinobject for seamus, so you don't have to add it as a module to every page. |

We actually had this ability to change the number of items to index per call at one time, but it caused problems. 3 is a good number, because you have no idea the size of the 3 files it will call. Anything more than 3 degrades the performance, especially for larger files/pages. Anything less than 3 takes too long to index. People would try adding 10 items or more at a time, and then complain when they started getting timeouts. Therefore we removed it and do not have plans of adding it back since we would incur more support request.
As for the SkinObject, it really is not needed. You do not have to add Seamus to every page. There is now a ScheduleTask (Host > Schedule) that you can adjust for your needs. |
