You guys are probably getting sick of me but I thought I'd try to help fill in your forum support base rather than send another email :) ... may be a seamus topic? I have the search working but I'm not sure I understand the steps involved in having the search or seamus? pick up text on child portals. Currently it is not. Also, the current search seems to be skipping some matches (ex: search "mike or mike's" and it will find results but miss a page named "mike's page". I checked the seamus 'crawl external sites' option but I don't really want any results other than the parent and child portals. When do you guys expect in-depth documentation to be out? I guess that's more than one question but any insight you could offer on any of the above topics would be much appreciated. I'm really looking forward to utilizing the full potential of your product! Thanks! Mike

No problem. This is a great place to post your questions.

I have the search working but I'm not sure I understand the steps involved in having the search or seamus? pick up text on child portals. Currently it is not.

Are the child portals all under the same domain or different domains?

Also, the current search seems to be skipping some matches (ex: search "mike or mike's" and it will find results but miss a page named "mike's page". I checked the seamus 'crawl external sites' option but I don't really want any results other than the parent and child portals.

It could be an issue with the apostrophe. Let me check with Scott.

When do you guys expect in-depth documentation to be out?

We just finished another batch of updates with alot of functionality that did not previously exist. We have hired a person to build documentation for all of our modules and keep them updated. We should start having the first documents out next week on our Tutorials page.

Hi

The child is under the same domain. The parent has an external ip as well as one we use for our internal dev the child (library) does not. Could this be the issue? Below copied from my host portals page:
[Edit this Portal] City of Manchester NH Official Web Site 10.10.100.45/website
216.204.202.157/website
15 549 0 0.00
[Edit this Portal] Public Library Manchester, NH 10.10.100.45/website/library
1 1 0 0.00

That's good news too with the documentation!

Thanks again.
Mike
