Subject: Updates? ...and more use confusion?

I don't have a correct ID and password to post this in your Gemini area...if that's what you'd prefer....anyway, here goes...

Hello,

1. When is the "Wall" feature expected to be released - I know I'll get a fair bit of interest in the non-working button until it works correctly.

2. Are we to simply install these updates over the existing modules? What about the included template in the Profile Search? Is that needed, too? How do I overwrite the existing temlpate without issues if it needs to be updated?

3. Can you tell me where I might find the templates you describe in the web controls manual...or explain, with an example, what it's for, where it goes on the page, why it's needed? I noticed a facebook template in the webcontrols manual...what is that anyway? 

4. Could you make it clear on which page each of the 5 modules should be installed? As described in the Profile manual, I have a My Profile page and I created a Team page for the search...could you tell me on which of these two pages to place the Groups, Categories, and Web Controls modules?

5. Is there an order of installation for all the updated modules, other than updating the web controls first?

6. And, if it's not too much to ask, I understand that each of your modules have a specific function, but could you combine the modules and their features into a walk-through that can take us from start to finish (without all the micro details that might be referenced to their specific manual)? Then, once all 5 modules are installed and operating properly, take one feature at a time and explain what it is, when it's used, why it's needed, how it works with the other features and modules, and how to modify each feature to compliment the site it's on?

Being fairly new to DNN and completely new to your modules, I find flipping between 5 manuals confusing, as they are not describing themselves as being a "next step after installing this module"....and have me completely ignoring a lot of the modules functions and features because I cannot wrap my head around your explainations and am always finding myself getting lost .
Sorry if this seems to be an ongoing rant against your work, but I am genuinely interested and think you have a real winner here and would love to get this all working correctly.

What about the included template in the Profile Search? Is that needed, too? How do I overwrite the existing temlpate without issues if it needs to be updated? <-- Yes you will need to update the templates. That is in the manual for profile search on how to update your templates.

I noticed a facebook template in the webcontrols manual...what is that anyway? <-- Web Controls is just for rating, ranking, comments, and social bookmarks, which works with all of our modules.  Your UserProfile template goes with the Profile Search Module.  The web controls module already has a template by default.  You can add the web controls module to a hidden page so only admin users can see it this module is a admin tool to add or change social bookmarks or to create a new template for how the rating, ranking, comments, and social bookmarks are displayed.

Then you can create a My Groups page where the groups  module will live.
