| I seem to have the Venexus search module working ok now - I can search for words and get the results back in the Venexus module.
But when I put a word into the website search - top right where DN search was it does not seen to use the Venexus search. I would have expected it to and I am guessing there is some setting I have missed. Any suggestions? |

| If you are referring to the default DNN Search box that is embedded in your skin, then on the search results page you will want to make the default DNN search results module visible by administrators only, then add VenexusSearch module to the page. This way, anywhere you are using the DNN search box in your skin, it will redirect the user to the search results page (see Admin > Pages) and VenexusSearch will take over. We do not interfere with any DNN search functionality. As I mentioned, I would just make the DNN Search results visible by administrators only, rather than deleting the module. We have seen strange behavior by DNN if it is not on the page. Also, it is recommended that you go into Host > Schedule and disable the DotNetNuke.Services.Search.SearchEngineScheduler |
