I installed Search module and it gave me an error. As you mentioned in the doc this could be because I dont have FullTextIndexing on. I saw your video on how to enable FullTextIndexing. When i right clicked on Venexus_BrainDump table my Define Full-Text Index option is disabled and Disable Full-Text Index is enabled. So I am guessing my Full-Text Indexing is on.
I reinstalled the search module this time no errors.

I configured the module as mentioned in the tutorial. One thing to note here is I am not getting "Enable Full Text Index based searches" checkbox.

When I try to search I am getting under mentioned error.

Error: VenexusSearch is currently unavailable.

This is the latest version of search from our downloads page, correct?

No I have downlaoded this from Snowcovered. At time of posting that message I dint had access to downloads page.
Anyways I download again from Downloads page & try.

Should I uninstall the previous version before installing the new version.
